The Question: What is the first story you remember writing? Why did you write it?
when I was like 10 I started reading books about teens with cancer by Laurene McDaniel, they were very dramatic and emotional and meant to make you cry. So the first story I remember writing was about a girl whose father killed her mother and she was dealing with her own grief. I was basically trying to play up all the over the top drama from the books I was reading. But then I dedicated the book to my dad, thinking along the lines of "I dedicate this book to you dad, because you aren't an ax murderer and I love you." But my dad didn't quite take it that way and to this day he still gives me grief about it!
ReplyDeleteThat's fantastic! I still get grief about everything. I used to write stories about bunnies and paint pictures when I was 7 or 8. Then I would SELL them to my grandparents. HAHAHA. They still have one of my paintings hanging up in their house that they bought at my "art show".
