This is one of my favorite things to explore in writing. Personally, my brain never stops, so if someone doesn't call me back, I'm thinking about all the reasons they could be mad at me or maybe they are trapped in an elevator and it just gets weirder from there. I truly believe I am my own worst enemy and love exploring situations where characters are so self-conscious that every single one of them misses the point.
